Muji Ultrasonic Aroma Diffuser…
Ever notice how just one simple enhancement has the might to transform the way you experience a room? Consider your office or bedroom – two locations where we tend to spend a fair amount of time and where we might be longing for less distraction, less clutter. No need for a complete overhaul, sometimes just a simple reorientation of content or a purposeful addition has the power to transcend the room’s energy and the way in which you move through its walls.
This summer on a recent swing through Los Angeles I found myself strolling the Abbot Kinney neighborhood of Venice. Completely consumed by the endless sights, shops, restaurants, watering holes and art galleries lining the streets, I found myself drawn to an amazing bouquet drifting from a storefront and into my consciousness. It was a scent demanding further investigation… a trail I absolutely had to follow. Happily it lead me into Muji Website, the Japanese retailer whose mission “a deliberate pursuit of the pure and the ordinary,” is striking a global chord with consumers. Among their clever inventory, they make this nifty little gadget they call the Ultrasonic Aroma Diffuser. It’s a pint size illuminated (electric) device which pleasantly delivers a heavenly scented stream of vapor. The Aroma Diffuser uses ultrasonic waves to vaporize water and the essential oil in the tank to produce a cool, dry, fragrant mist. The white cylinder also houses a lamp that shines with an ambient glow and has two light settings. It’s flame free and safe for use around children and pets. So simple to use, and compact enough to place on a desktop or a side table. Breathes life into a cluttered office. And in the evening with its soft lighting, it can add an elegant glow to a room that’s grown tired or stale.
Since perching my new Muji here alongside my keyboard, I have to admit to a new zip in my typing, and I’ve had many guests inquiring, “Hey where can I get one of these?” While Muji has plans to open additional retail locations here in the States (beyond California and New York), you can in the meantime treat yourself to an Ultrasonic Aroma Diffuser through their website. Also available for purchase are their complete line of essential oils. With names like “happy” and “ocean” and “sky” and “refresh”, they only add to the feeling of being swept away to peace. Muji’s Ultrasonic Aroma Diffuser also makes for a perfect “care package” for your college student navigating mid-terms, finals and that less than desirable fragrance of a well worn dorm.
