Did you have a hero growing up?
Did you? I mean a real true kid style hero, like Superman or Wonder Woman…. maybe it was Strawberry Shortcake or Harry Potter.
When we were kids we had heroes, we dressed up like them, we watched them on television and pretended to be them in our bedrooms. As we grew older we shifted our gears and our heroes became people we know or we look up to in daily life. Maybe they are athletes or actors or musicians, but they weren’t characters anymore. They were and are human. Honestly I miss the Super Heroes.
Today a lot of political shit is hitting the world fan, and I look out the window wondering where the blue cape is. Bring on the hero please. Then I literally look up and see myself in the mirror. No shit. There is a mirror at my desk, and there I am. I raise my eyebrows. Seriously Sienna… Yep.
A Call to the Mat… Sunday February 5th
Because I am empowered, naïve and hopeful enough to believe that we can make a change in the world. YES. I wrote WE… because it begins with a choice to commune. Communicate. Community. So I am going to ASK you once and for all. Why do you SUPERFLOW and reach out with yoga? What is the point to come together and Unite and March if we cannot bring ourselves to the mat and move from within. The Womens’ March was the beginning, and we have a long way to go until the end. But, we must keep the momentum. We must continue to breathe together and support one another. We must flow and feel to release the stagnation and frustration that is building up. We need to become the Super Heroes. We must SuperFlow! Let us Unite. We can be heroes. See you on your MAT on Sunday February 5th, 2017! Purchase tickets here… SUPERFLOW 2017.
