SINGLE DAY RETREATS JUST NORTH OF THE CITY

Just a short drive north of Boston tucked just off of a winding road tranquilly sits the Insight Meditiation Center of Newburyport.  Insight meditation or Vipassana is based on an ancient Buddhist Meditation tradition that is very much relevant today and experiencing tremendous popularity here in the west.

The center’s schedule is brimming with programming designed to support steadying the mind, opening the heart, seeing clearly and moving forward with wisdom.  These practice opportunities include daily sittings, classes, retreats and workshops.  The center welcomes new students as well as those with established meditation practice. Check out their website to browse their full schedule.  Their weekend Single Day Retreats offer practitioners an accessible refuge for checking out and inquiring in.  This Saturday’s daylong, led by the Center’s Guiding Teacher Matthew Daniell, will focus on the topic of “Embracing Difficulties”.  With this event, there is also an option for participating in just the morning session as well.
